 Brigitte holds an undergraduate (Mag. Phil.) degree in History and English from the University of Vienna (1998) and a Master of Arts degree in History from New York University (2000), which she completed under the auspices of the Fulbright Program. She received her PhD from the University of Portsmouth (2008). Following a one-year visiting lectureship at the Department for International History and Politics at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (2008-09), Brigitte currently holds a post-doc fellowship within the Anglo-German state of the state programme. The programme is based at the University of Oxford and designed to allow fellows to turn their PhD theses into first-rate research monographs. Brigitte’s book will contribute to understanding the transnational origins of European economic integration after World War II. Brigitte has published a variety of articles and book chapters and has co-edited three books, all of them based on a transnational approach to the history of European integration. She has teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate level in different institutions including Portsmouth University, Brunel University and Vienna University. |
